Friday Five, Vol. 70

October 30, 2015

It would be great to say there’s something sinister lurking in our Halloween weekend Friday Five. Unfortunately, we can’t do so in good conscience. It’s quite benign.

(ONE) A little animation goes a long way to bring these vintage book covers to life.

(TWO) Wallpaper gets a bad wrap in general, but this digital archive shows some pretty beautiful designs.

(THREE) This dude who carves insanely ambitious caves from scratch seems highly cantankerous, but his stunning work speaks for itself.

(FOUR) You’re not going to find a lot of Broadway talk on this blog, but Hamilton streaming on Spotify? Don’t sleep on it.

(FIVE) What’s so great about Terry Gross? (per Ira Glass.)
